Training!
I'm within 12 weeks of my next adventure - the Old Port Half Marathon! I've only ever done one other half down in Baltimore. I'm hoping to train extra hard for this one and finish under 1 hour and 45 minutes. I have always trained with someone so it’s going to be interesting to see what I’ll be able to achieve solo. My tendency is to run without pacing myself as I always want to push myself to go faster and faster, this generally does not end well! MapMyRun has been my pseudo running PIC. It’s great how your splits are automatically calculated and the distance is recorded. My only struggle has been finding great tunes to pump me up when I’m on a long run and need a little boost. So far, any Spotify playlist that has the words reenergize, pump up, endurance or run has been my go to source of beats. If you have any suggestions of what to listen to, please let me know!
