Kilkenny was what we had been waiting for! Driving into the town, it was the quintessential irish village. Cobblestone walkways, troll bridges, pub after pub, row homes and of course the Kilkenny Castle. After roaming the streets, we toured the castle which was owned by the Kilkenny family until the 20's. Incredible wealth and artifacts lined the rooms of the castle. You couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to live in a time where castles were a "thing". Can you imagine how long it took to build such incredible structures? The detail in every castle we saw was spectacular.
