Kombucha Discovery
We all love the idea of eating right. Kale this, quinoa that. I mean I’m not trying to get sick anytime soon, so I pump up on the greens and other colorful fruits and veggies. The unfortunate thing is that right now I am sick. My body is achy; I have the chills. I just want to sleep. So what do I do? Going to the doctor takes time, so I walked down to Portland’s Rosemary Bakery and Market to buy some Kombucha. It’s such a weird word that actually has been talked about a lot in my friends circle and even posted on my Facebook wall in the last week. Wikipedia tells me it’s, "Kombucha, is a lightly effervescent fermented drink of sweetened black tea that is used as a functional food. It is produced by fermenting the tea using a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast, or SCOBY.”
Ok, Kombucha – do your thing! Thanks Rosemont for the spur of the moment purchase on a beautiful sunny day – you rock.
