It's not every day that I eat lobster out, however, Kris's mom asked for a lobster, which was a fun challenge where I had to find the perfect place that cooks lobster well with the quintessential Maine feel! After a quick shoutout to my Facebook friends, I was not surprised to find out that J's Oysters was a local favorite. I have also spent many a summer days lounging out on the parking lot of J's and felt like that wasn't exactly the place I'd like my future mother-in-law to experience on her first outing with us in the city. We opted for a 7pm reservation at Dimillo's, a floating boat and restaurant on Portland's working waterfront. The lobster was a hit, and I had scallops which were cooked perfectly! Another great meal in the books.
